MeetingsVisitors are welcome to attend a monthly meeting to sample the WI experience! Please contact us through our contact page if you’d like any further information or you are welcome to just attend on the day. All meetings start at 7.30pm at St.Elizabeth’s Church Hall, Aspull and are held on the 2nd Monday of the month.

‘History of Clarks Shoes’
Speaker: Susan Nolan
Competition; ‘Decorate a shoe’
This can be a shoe decorated to be worn or it can become a decorative item, eg a plant pot holder.

Monday 12th March.
‘Easter Craft Workshop’.
No Competition

Monday 9th April.
‘Hats Around The World’.
Pat Ashcroft.
Competition; An Easter Bonnet.
Turn an old hat, or crochet, knit or craft a hat and turn it into a celebration of Spring.

Monday 14th May.
‘Tax, Care and Toy Boys.’
Taking care of your money with Charissa Malpas
Competition; Write a proverb or saying about money..

Monday 11th June.
‘Laughter Is The Best Medicine’
Speaker: Dennis Moore
Competition; An Amusing or Funny Photo.

Monday 9th July.
‘Strawberries, stroll and sunshine (hopefully).’
Competition; Wild flower arrangement in a jam jar to raise funds for ACWW .
Monday 13th August.
‘Fur Clemt’.
Talk about what happens to donated food
by Anne Fairhurst.
Competition; A short written dialect poem about food

Monday 10th September.
‘Malaysian Festivals’
A talk by Chandra Law.
Competition; Paper Lantern
Make a decorative paper lantern to be displayed with an electric tea light inside

Monday 8th October.
‘Chocolate – From Bean to Bar’
A Talk by Josie Morris
Competition; Decorate a bar of chocolate or small chocolate cake.

Monday 12th November.
Annual Meeting
No competition this month.

Monday 10th December.
Christmas Party.
